The Origin The Transition Today Philosophy
01 — Origin

It started with a
roller skating school.

I first discovered Notion while building a roller skating course business. Not because someone recommended it — but because I needed a way to keep track of students, schedules, progress, and payments without losing my mind across three different apps.

At first, it was a simple to-do list. Then a student tracker. Then a full operations system. I didn't realise I was building a system — I thought I was just getting organised.

"I didn't set out to become a systems designer. I set out to stop losing track of things."

— Ikhlas, founder @khlasify

That roller skate business taught me something I didn't expect: the system you build around your work matters as much as the work itself. A poorly run backend will kill a great product. A clean system gives a mediocre one a fighting chance.

02 — Transition

From shadow teaching
to systems thinking.

Before the business, I worked as a shadow teacher — supporting students with special needs in structured learning environments. That role taught me something critical: clarity and structure aren't optional for the people who need them most.

Watching how structure (or its absence) directly affected learning and confidence planted a seed. Every person deserves a system that works for how they think — not a system designed for someone else.

That insight followed me into Notion. When I started helping friends and small business owners set up their workspaces, I noticed the same pattern: they weren't struggling because they were disorganised people. They were struggling because their system wasn't designed for them.

03 — Today

Building systems that
actually get used.

Today I run khlasify as a full-time freelance practice — consulting with founders, managers, and creatives to build operational systems that replace scattered tools and fragmented thinking.

I also build and sell Notion templates: ready-to-use systems designed around the same minimalist principles I apply to every client project. Not "aesthetic" templates — functional infrastructure you'll actually open every morning.

Beyond client work, I run @minimiawlist — a separate content brand about minimalist living and slow rituals. Two cats. Morning coffee. The belief that less, done intentionally, is always enough.

"Productivity isn't about doing more. It's about making space for what moves you forward."

— The khlasify philosophy

The name khlasify comes from "classify" — because that's exactly what I do. I take complex, tangled operations and bring them into order. One workspace. One source of truth. Everything in its place.

04 — Approach

Why I don't
just sell templates.

Templates are a starting point, not a solution. A beautiful Notion template that doesn't fit how you think will be abandoned in two weeks. I've seen it happen — I've done it myself.

That's why every client engagement starts with understanding the workflow first. The databases, the views, the automations — those come after we understand the actual problem. Tools don't create clarity. Thinking does. Tools implement it.

This is the difference between a system designer and a Notion creator. One builds infrastructure. The other builds interfaces.

Core Values

What I stand for,
non-negotiable.

01
Clarity over
cleverness

A system that's elegant but confusing is a failure. I'll always choose the approach that's easier to understand and maintain over the one that's technically impressive but opaque.

02
Ownership over
dependency

The goal is for you to never need me again. Every system I deliver is documented, explained, and designed to be fully maintained by you. That's not bad for business — that's integrity.

03
Mobile-first,
always

If a system doesn't work beautifully on a phone, it doesn't work. Most of life happens on a small screen — your workspace should meet you there, not ask you to sit down first.

04
Honest about
limitations

Notion isn't the right tool for everything. If something else would serve you better, I'll say so. The goal is the best outcome for you — not maximising billable hours.

05
Minimal by
design

Not minimal as an aesthetic — minimal as a philosophy. Every database, property, and view should earn its place. Complexity that doesn't serve a clear purpose gets removed, not decorated.

06
Slow work,
lasting results

I don't rush builds. A system built in three hours is a system rebuilt in three months. I take the time to understand before I build — and that's reflected in delivery quality.

Outside the Work

The person behind
the system.

⛸️
Roller Skating

I've been skating for years — and once ran a roller skating school. It taught me that technique, consistency, and the right setup matter more than raw effort. Sound familiar?

Morning Coffee Rituals

Slow mornings with good coffee are non-negotiable. The ritual of preparation — unhurried, intentional — is where most of my best thinking happens before the day begins.

🐱
Supervised by Two Cats

My two cats are unofficial co-stars of @minimiawlist. They have strong opinions about workspace ergonomics and consistently ignore my productivity systems.

🏠
Intentional Living

I live simply — a rented room, minimal possessions, slow pace. Not because I can't afford more, but because I've found that constraint sharpens focus. This philosophy runs straight through everything I build.

The Two Brands
khlasify
@khlasify

The professional practice. System design, Notion consulting, and productivity templates for founders, managers, and creative professionals. Platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X, YouTube — bilingual (EN + ID).

Philosophy

The way I think
about work & systems.

"The best system is the one you actually use — not the one that looks best in screenshots."

— khlasify design principle

This is why I test everything on mobile. Why I remove unnecessary databases. Why I document every system before calling it done. The measure of a good system isn't how it looks on a Loom recording — it's whether you open it every morning without friction.

01
Systems before tools

Understand the workflow first. Design the structure. Then choose the tool. Notion is excellent — but it's the implementation of clear thinking, not a substitute for it.

02
Minimalist setup, maximal output

The goal is never to build an impressive workspace. It's to build one that makes you more productive on the days you're tired, distracted, or overwhelmed.

03
Measure before you scale

Every system I build includes a measurement layer. KPI Achievement above 110%? Scale. Below 80%? Revisit. No gut-feel only. Decisions grounded in numbers.

04
Independence, not dependency

A consultant who keeps you dependent is a consultant who failed. My benchmark: after handover, you should be able to run, maintain, and expand the system without asking me anything.

05
Slow living, intentional work

I believe in the value of unhurried thinking. The minimalist lifestyle I practice personally isn't separate from my work — it directly shapes how I approach every system I build.
